Douglas Brinkley and Dave Eggers are broad-based thinkers and prolific writers whose deep knowledge and personal interests include history, music, advocacy, education, the environment and much more. Brinkley is not only an award-winning author and one of America’s foremost historians but also a Grammy award winner with literary and cultural works that span every era.
At 29, Dave Eggers wrote his acclaimed #1 best-selling memoir A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius and has written several subsequent best-sellers. He is also the founder of McSweeney’s, a nonprofit independent publishing company, and co-founder of 826 Valencia, a network of youth writing and tutoring centers around the United States.
All proceeds go to the Carmel Public Library Foundation to support the Carmel Public Library.
